What are the common anti-corrosion treatment methods for automobile stamping parts?
2020-03-17 14:21:29

Precision stamping die can be classified into three categories as follows: Engineering die, also known as "single process Die", refers to the die that can only complete one stamping process in one stroke of stamping. After the completion of this project, the products need to be taken out of the mold manually or with a manipulator, and then put into the mold of the next station to continue production, until the next process of the mold is completed, the whole product is completed. The mold maintenance is simple, but the production is time-consuming and laborious, which requires more labor and time cost, and the product scrap rate is high.

Compound die: common compound die structures include compound blanking, compound drawing, etc. this kind of die structure is slightly different from other engineering die structures. The punch (also known as male die or punch) is designed in the lower die. The other templates are successively the lower clamping plate (fixed punch), the lower stop plate and the lower stripper plate (outer stripper). The upper die is successively composed of the female die (or knife edge), the inner stripper plate and the upper backing plate. The inner stripper is hung on the upper backing plate with an equal height sleeve, and then it is held against with a driving rod or spring.

Continuous die: also known as "progressive die", it refers to the die that completes two or more stamping processes at the same time in different working positions in the process of one stroke of stamping. This kind of die is difficult to maintain and requires experienced fitter master to operate, but it has high production efficiency, can save labor and time costs, and has low scrap rate of precision metal stamping parts.

In order to prolong the service life of the parts and avoid corrosion and rust in the process of automobile stamping parts, the corresponding anti-corrosion treatment is generally done. The common anti-corrosion treatment methods are as follows:

Pre heating the workpiece before spraying can improve the adhesion of asphalt paint and accelerate the drying.

Cement mortar lining with special coating can improve the corrosion resistance of the workpiece lining.

Coal tar epoxy coating is a kind of two-component coating with high adhesion and very smooth surface. Epoxy ceramic lining is a kind of excellent anti-corrosion coating for stamping parts because of its high cost and difficult manufacturing process.

Aluminate cement coating or sulfate cement coating, both of which are suitable for internal corrosion protection of high-precision stamping parts, improve the ability of corrosion resistance. Polyurethane coating is a new type of green special coating developed to meet the needs of environmental protection, which has good wear resistance and corrosion resistance.
