In the application of aviation and shipbuilding industry, the specific strength of titanium alloy is higher than that of other light metals, steel and nickel alloys, and this advantage can be maintained to about 500C. Therefore, some titanium alloys are suitable for stamping into gas turbine parts. About 80% of the titanium output is used in aviation and aerospace industry. In the structural materials of aircraft body, titanium alloy is mainly used to manufacture fuselage, wing, skin and load-bearing components, accounting for a high proportion.

A large number of cold stamping processes are used in the production of automotive stamping parts, which is suitable for the needs of mass production of A106B seamless pipes with multiple varieties in the automotive stamping industry. In medium and heavy-duty vehicles, most of the covering parts such as body outer plate, and some load-bearing and supporting parts such as frame, carriage and other auto parts are auto stamping parts.

The steel used for cold stamping is mainly steel plate and steel strip, accounting for 72.6% of the steel consumption of the whole vehicle. Cold stamping materials are closely related to the production of automobile stamping parts. The quality of materials not only determines the performance of products, but also directly affects the process design of automobile stamping parts, and affects the quality, cost, service life and production organization of products. Therefore, the rational selection of materials is an important and complex work.
