Principles to be followed when choosing auto parts materials
2023-03-08 16:21:36

A large number of cold stamping processes are used in the production of automobile stamping parts, which is suitable for the needs of the automobile stamping parts industry with many varieties and the mass production of A106B seamless pipes. In medium and heavy-duty vehicles, most of the covering parts such as the outer panels of the body, and some load-bearing and supporting parts such as the frame, the compartment and other auto parts are auto stamping parts. The steel used for cold stamping is mainly steel plate and steel strip, accounting for 72.6% of the steel consumption of the whole vehicle. The relationship between cold stamping materials and the production of automobile stamping parts is very close. The quality of the material not only determines the performance of the product, but also directly affects the The process design of the automobile stamping process affects the quality, cost, service life and production organization of the product, so the rational selection of materials is an important and complicated task.

Automotive Stampings

When selecting materials, firstly, metal materials with different mechanical properties are selected according to the stamping type and usage characteristics of automobiles, so as to achieve the purpose of ensuring product quality and saving materials.

Generally, the following principles should be followed when selecting auto parts materials:

1. The selected materials should first meet the performance requirements of auto parts.

2. The selected materials must have good process performance.

3. The selected materials should be economical.

The construction method of partial repair of body paint surface is:

First wash the car, clean the surface of the panel to be repaired and its surroundings with a solvent; then sand (to remove dirt and rust spots) with a thin sand, and all surfaces to be repaired should be polished with 360~400 sandpaper.

After all the grinding and construction is completed, re-clean the repaired surface and its surroundings, and protect the adjacent parts with self-adhesive tape if necessary; if necessary, brush the two-component metal surface conditioner on the exposed metal surface. Then spray primer, scrape putty, spray intermediate paint, moderate sanding if necessary; spray sealer primer; spray suitable topcoat.
