What are the technical requirements of modern automobile stamping parts?

(1) The technology of modular automobile stamping parts.

The outstanding advantage of modular stamping is that it can combine the flexibility of stamping system with high efficiency production. Flexibility has a wide meaning, such as the requirements of the geometric shape of stamping parts, which can be obtained only through free programming, reflecting the flexibility of machining shape. For example, it is not only suitable for the production of large-scale single variety stamping parts, but also flexible for the processing of small batch and multi variety.

(2) Submillimeter stamping technology.

Submillimeter stamping technology means that the accuracy of automotive body stamping parts is controlled within the range of mm. Compared with the past manufacturing errors, it is a great progress. This is a comprehensive project aiming at improving stamping quality and manufacturing technology.

The center of submillimeter stamping is the accuracy and sensitivity of stamping parts. The accuracy is to control the dimensional accuracy of stamping parts at the level of millimeter or submillimeter. The key is to control the scale change of body bracket, column and other structural parts, and to make the body covering parts block large, such as using the overall left and right side plates and top cover plates. Sensitivity means that it includes mold design, sample manufacturing and tooling preparation time, so as to greatly shorten the manufacturing cycle of new models. The technical requirements of modern automobile stamping parts are developing in the direction of complex structure, larger block size, more parts on related sides, larger bearing capacity and strict internal stress limitation. This requires and promotes the development of special stamping technology such as hydroforming, precision forming, explosive forming, spinning forming, die-free forming, laser forming and electromagnetic forming.

(4) Automatic monitoring of stamping process.

Another important feature of modern stamping technology is the automatic monitoring of stamping process to protect the quality of stamping parts. In the automatic detection and monitoring of submillimeter stamping project, the research results include: 1. On-line diagnosis and detection system of feature analysis in stamping process; 2. Measurement system of high-speed and non-contact stamping parts; 3. Scientific guess system of die maintenance; 4. On-line adjustment and compensation system of key parameters in stamping process.

The main reasons for the change of workpiece quality in stamping process are the wear, crack and dislocation of the punch. These small changes can be tracked and detected by the high resolution displacement sensor and the punch pressure sensor. Displacement measurement is one of the most important measurement. The device is usually composed of a closed source installed on the top of the mold and a receiving unit located below. It can monitor the deviation, track the whole process of processing, output the monitoring information in time, and alarm and stop the machine.
